A Doctor-Led Weight Management Clinic in Singapore
Most people who come to us have already tried. They have cut down, cut out, started again on a Monday, and drifted back to where they began. What is different here is the order of things: your history, your measurements and your blood tests come first, and a plan comes after that — written with you, and rewritten as you go.
Weight management at Accord Medical Clinic begins with a clinical assessment, not a package. Your doctor takes your history, examines you, records your measurements and arranges relevant blood tests before advising on a plan. Plans combine nutrition, activity and regular review, and are adjusted as you progress. Consultation charges are published on the consultation rates page.

How the programme is run
The first appointment
The first appointment is longer than a standard consultation because it starts from your history rather than from a plan. It covers what you have already tried, your other conditions, and what a week actually looks like for you — the meals you eat, the hours you keep, the joints that complain.
Nothing beyond the consultation itself is arranged on that first visit. Where a blood test is needed it is arranged by the clinic, and the plan is settled only once the result is back. Some patients are told plainly that changing nutrition and activity is the right next step, and that nothing further is needed.
The plan
Plans combine nutrition guidance, activity guidance suited to your starting point and your joints, and review appointments. It is written down and given to you, so you can see what was agreed rather than trying to remember it.
The guidance is built around the food you already eat and the time you actually have. A plan that ignores your circumstances is a plan you will abandon in a fortnight, which is usually what has happened before.
The reviews
At each review your measurements are repeated and the plan is changed if it is not working or not sustainable. Follow-up continues for as long as it is useful rather than for a fixed number of weeks.
Where another professional is the right person for part of your care — a dietitian, a physiotherapist or a specialist — the doctor explains why and arranges the referral.
This page describes the weight management service at the clinic. It is general information and not a substitute for an examination; suitability for any part of a plan is decided by the doctor at your visit.
What happens at your first visit
01
You talk through your history — what you have tried, what got in the way, and what else is going on with your health.
02
You are examined, and your weight, height and waist measurement are recorded in the clinic.
03
Relevant blood tests are arranged where the doctor judges they will change what is advised.
04
Your doctor sets out what a realistic plan looks like for you, and what it does not need to include.
05
You leave with a written plan and a review date — or with a straight answer that no plan is needed yet.
Hi! 👋 I'm Accord's health assistant. Ask me anything about our weight-loss programme, GLP-1 treatment, costs, or clinic hours — try typing a question below, e.g. "How does GLP-1 work?"
I give general information, not medical advice — the doctor has the final word.
