Liraglutide, sold under the brand name Saxenda, is a daily injection that helps you feel fuller for longer and reduces your appetite. It mimics a natural hormone called GLP-1 that your body produces after eating. It is approved for chronic weight management in adults with obesity or weight-related health conditions.

Liraglutide is a glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor agonist with 97% amino acid sequence homology to native human GLP-1.
