Gastric Electrical Stimulation

A small pacemaker-like device placed under the skin that sends gentle electrical pulses to the stomach. It can delay stomach emptying and send fullness signals to the brain, helping some people feel full sooner and eat less.

An implantable device that delivers low-energy, high-frequency electrical pulses to the gastric antrum through serosal electrodes. It modulates gastric motility and vagal signalling to enhance early satiety and delay gastric emptying. It is approved for refractory gastroparesis, while its use in obesity remains investigational.
